Congratulations to Jaxon Bodden who is one of the recipients of The Thomson Leadership and Innovation Award scholarship for 2024.
Jaxon Bodden is studying for a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida and is now in his second year. Upon completion of his studies, Jaxon plans to return to the Cayman Islands and pursue his goal of owning a clothing brand and developing graphic design software.
In addition, he wants raise awareness for the needs of students with neuro diverse diagnosis and the additional tutoring and support they need. He is hopeful that his journey will provide hope for students who are neuro diverse and show that obtaining a higher education is achievable.
He attended Cayman Prep and High School and Grace Christian Academy in Cayman before pursuing his studies in Florida. He participated in the 2019/2020 Chamber of Commerce Mentoring Program and volunteered with the 345 Athletic Clubb
The Thomson Leadership and Innovation Award is a scholarship created by The Peter N. Thomson Family Foundation designed to recruit and support Caymanian students who are driven to improve the Cayman Islands in areas including, but not limited to, entrepreneurial studies, emerging technologies, design and creative arts and/or the sciences.
